Technical information

The collection efficiency is the ratio of the number of electron pulses collected by the anode to the number of photoelectrons extracted by the photocathode, as shown in the pulse height distribution in the figure. Hi CE MCPs (right figure) have a collection efficiency close to 1, which is almost twice as high as conventional MCPs (left figure).
